About Gott Pics Photography

Gott Pics Photography was started in 2015 by Lori Gott, a homeschooling mom of 4 with a passion for helping people. She herself always loved pictures but didn't love the professional Photography prices and often wasn't satisfied with the results. So, she decided to launch her own photography business at an affordable price so all families could enjoy the beauty of capturing memories. In 2021, Lori was diagnosed with breast cancer and fought a courageous and hard battle for 3 years, including many highs and lows. Her motto was always to trust God "No Matter What". Her saying became an anthem, and she became well known in our small town of Appomattox.  Thousands of people were praying for her all over the country, Including K- Love radio station and Author Heidi St John. In May 2024, however Lori went to Heaven.  Her family, friends, church and community miss her very much. 

Ashlyn Gott (Pictured above) is Lori's oldest daughter and accompanied her on many photoshoots. Ashlyn and Lori were a power duo who enjoyed working out together, coffee dates and photography. Later, Ashlyn became Lori's caretaker, and she considers it her hardest but favorite job she will ever have. They truly were best friends. 

At the end of 2024 after struggling with the loss of her mom. Ashlyn decided to put to use the cameras her mom left behind, and to use it as a way to honor her mom.
